Time really does fly pass really quickly!
here i am typing my first blog post ever since summer!
Thinking back, i was really surprised that 4 months just went pass like this
I don't even believe it myself that i actually did went thru this summer!

Singapore

I have been looking forward for this summer for soooo long!
and now its over! :(
I had so much fun hanging with friends and family

Everyone around seems to be growing up so quickly
The things that i used to go through.. all of a sudden is happening on them
Seeing them going through all those stages that i used to go through made me think back on my younger days...

I thought about myself when i see them secretly sending messages behind their parents' back all the time...
I thought about myself when i knew they are secretly in a relationship...
I thought about myself when i found out that they were hurt in a relationship but yet they have to hide their emotions in front of their parents
Just like my younger days...

As bad as it seems, hiding.. controlling... i just felt that the problems they are facing are not as complex and complicated as the problems i face now. We face love problems but the love problem just gets more complex the older the person is.
i truly understand why people say the older you are the more you will what love is...

How i wish i can go back to those younger days with lesser responsibilities, lesser decisions to make, lesser things to ponder and think, decisions and responsibilites being less complex...
Now i truly understand why adults always ask you to cherish your childhood as once you've grown up everything changes... irreversibile changes....

I want to stop thinking... as thinking gives me more hope...
I want to stop hoping... as i know its never going to happen
I want to stop facing... as facing it makes me think and hope
I want this wishful thinking to stop...
I want it to stop....

From 1 month to 3 weeks to 2 weeks.. what next?! 1 week?! seriously why can't you understand? Doesn't mean you don't wanna stay means that i don't want too.
You know how precious this holiday means to me... to be able to relax from my studies, to able to see my family and friends... but you just choose to do it your own way and control my holiday.
I grew up in sg of course i wanna stay in sg longer... isn't it reasonble?
I really feel like just going back to take summer school which is better than working every single day.Even when we help you .. you take it for granted and make it seem like its only reasonable that we are helping you.

You always say how tough work is blah blah blah... i know it, i see it thats why i'm working hard too but do you see how tough life is for us there too? I know i may sound childish at this point but seriously this is how i feel at this very point.. I feel like going back... seems like i feel happier back there .... i wanna go back...

I MIA AGAIN lol
But this time it wasnt because of me being busy but its cause China block out blogger website! so weird!
First they blog out youtube, now blogger what next?! don't tell me facebook or MSN
I will be bored to death if they do it
Luckily, I am now in malaysia so i can visit all the sites that i want! :)

Working at my dad's place was fine but as time pass by, it started to get boring.. everyday same routine so i'm glad i could take the whole of june off to go travelling in malaysia and singapore!
Arrived at Malaysia on the 29th and the first thing i thought was that the weather in malaysia is so hot! haha
It seems that i've really forgot whats the weather like in malaysia and singapore. I really don't remember feeling so hot last time. Guess i am too used to cold now haha
Besides missing the weather, i missed the food in malaysia soooo much! haha
Here, I eat around 5 to 6 meals a day!! My family just keep stuffing me with food haha i guess my diet plan beofore has gone down the drain! oh no! Diet plan to resume when i get back to canada! haha

7th!!!! I'm gonna be back in singapore!!! yes!!! finally! waited so long for this day. I really hope i will be able to meet up with all my friends and hang out with them as long as possible! I hope my darlings will be free to meet up with me too!!!! haha shopping and eating!!! I wonder whats its gonna be like... fun! hope to see ya guys soon!!! save me some spots in your busy schedules!! ^.^

My very first day of work at my dad's company.

It has been a really great eye opener for me

To see how the company operates and to be able to understand what's the company all about.

The funny thing about working under my dad is that i don't know what time to knock off lol

cause i have to wait for him to leave together so i guess i have to work till much later than my fellow colleagues :(

My job, i must say is pretty challenging .... a translator.. lol

haha judging on how long i have not 'touch' chinese, i had a pretty tough time at the beginning but still i manage to complete my work ! :) proud of myself! haha

I'm now in Guangzhou! My new home with my parents!

Home sweet home!

I've been waiting for this day ever since last Sept .finally i can be back home with my family :)

Last 2 months had been crazy....

I was busy with exams and busy looking for a place to stay as i will be moving out of residence after summer...

So if anyone wants to come canada can come to my place to stay! haha

But sadly I still cannot find the right place.... Lets hope i can find the right place soon

Well the stress I experienced from exam made me ate so much that i have gained so much weight ever since!

I look so chubby now!!! oh no!!! :( I don't even know how to start dieting lol

Haha i hope no one will say they cant recognize me when i get back haha

Anyone my new home is pretty much like my home in singapore.. starting to get used to it :)

But after all i still really like guangzhou .. too polluted lol

and plus its so hot here haha well i guess i am too used to the cold in canada

The only thing i like about guangzhou is Shopping and food !

haha the stuff here are really cheap haha and they have some many fake stuff haha

look so real!!!

haha anyway in another month i will be back in Singapore! :D

I hope my friends will be free to meet up with me...

This time i will be back for 3 weeks! so happy! :D

sorry for MIA for soooo long!!!!!!

too many stuff have been going on recently... new york trip then exams..... finally my exams are over!!!

My parents came!!! so happie!!!! haha love them so much! gonna go back in May and back in spore by June!!!

oh before i blog about my ny trip i shall post some pictures of my new hair!!!!

lol honestly i love my hair but some people always make fun of it( some ppl even though i wanted to cut short hair but then i regret so ask the hairdresser to stop cutting halfway

lol seriously no!!thats so stupid :(

but i don't care!! haha i thought its pretty cool that i can have 2 hairstyle at a time!!! :)

My new york trip!!!!! omg spent so much but i had so much fun!!!!!!!!

It was a really cheap vacation.. we spend only around CDN 175 for transportation and accomdation( 5 star hotel!!!)

we went Times square, Wax museum, SoHo, Fifth avenue and not forgetting woodbury outlet mall!!!

The outlet mall is sooooo big!! you need at least 2 days to fully explore every corner and its the most famous outlet mall in US where they sell branded good like Prada, Chanel, Chole, Dior, Burberry alll on discount!!!

I'm definitely gonna go back!!!!! but i spent sooo much .. over 1000 US :P

Hey there! happy new year to everyone!!!!!

Another year past by us once again.... gone is 2008 and here we welcome 2009

During the countdown to 2009 yesterday, My mind was overwhelmed with mixed feelings

feeling happy and excited towards the new year and at the same time feeling sad that we all have to say goodbye to 2008

2008 has been a really special year for me.. really special one.. during this special year i went through alot of different experience in which each one of them made me stronger each time

2008 is the year in which i officially bid goodbye to my studies in s'pore and is the year that i had longed for

~I finished my a level in year 2008 and i was able to enjoy almost a year of holidays after 2 years o fhard work in jc!! :)

I must say its one of the best holidays i ever had... one year of holidays might seem long but to me it just seems that everything just went by so quickly

~I received my a level results.. which was good and bad.... so much so that i was so shocked that i didnt know to cry or not over my results but overall i was really happy with my results and this exam is one that i felt the most sense of satisfaction ! :)

~One of my best experience of the year was being part of a singing class! :) I have always wanted to learn singing and i'm glad i made the decision to go for it . During my time in the singing class, i not only learnt many useful ways to improve my singing, i also managed to gain a really wonderful group of friends.. heyintianshi :) without them this blog would not even exist lol I wanna say thank you for being such great friends and thank you so much for the things you guys did for me before i left... Meeting heyintianshis have made my passion for singing even stronger :)

~The year in which i officially started working! haha my very first job was an admin job!

I must say it was a really relaxing job but at the same time boring! haha but i manage to experience what it was like working in the real world... scandals... gossips... betrayals...bootlickings

well, not everything was bad at least i managed to know a really nice friend from the company! :)

~Its the first year i get to travel alone with my best friends! to taiwan! it was soooo fun that i really wished i could go back to taiwan with my friends again! :)

~ After Taiwan, I came back to spore to find myself another job...Never did i expect myself to find myself 3 part time jobs... Eventually, i found myself struggling between them

I didnt regret taking all 3 of them as each one of them gave me different experiences

Bridal Veil... working as a boutique asst was one of the toughest job ever.. trust me... My boss always had high expectations for boutique asst and everything has to be done perfectly.

Nevertheless, I began to have higher expectations for myself and it always made me feel great whenever i achieved somethings i would never had achieved in the old me

Stage... Working as a retail asst is one of the most slack retail job ever... I spend most of my time reading magazines in there but haha I must say it feels kinda cool to be working in 'xiao zhu's' shop lol

Tuition teacher...I never i could teach until this job! haha but finally know that its not easy being a teacher especially during the times you just feel frustrated over why the student still don't understand something and yet you can't express it :( but yeah its okie I became good friends with my student :)

~The year in which i have decided to study in Toronto... It was one of the hardest decision i have ever made.. It was hard as I knew if i chose to study in Toronto I will not be able to see my friends often and the fact that i have to leave my family and my dear.... I've decide to study in Toronto because i wanted to have an experience of studying overseas, feel how its like to live in Canada and to be able to see my relatives...

I still remember the day I left spore..... it just felt that i just felt s'pore yesterday

Being together for 4 years and to be separated all of a sudden was hard for not only you but for me too.... I'm sorry i made the decision dear but i really hope we can go through this stage together.. Thank you for staying strong and still being by my side :)

~ Being independent is never easy.... My first time being away from everyone of my family was indeed hard.... i have take care of everything myself and i have no one beside me for me to share my feelings... but at the same time i learnt to become stronger :)

Well really too many things happen in 2008 for me :)

My new year resolution for 2009 will be to stay strong and happy and to be brave in pursuing whatever i wanna achieve and lastly eat lesser :P

Boxing day!!! haha my first time going through boxing day where there is sales everywhere!

haha me being such a shopaholic... of course i had so much fun and i bought lots of stuff!!!!! boots bag shirts presents jackets gloves....

haha ever since boxing day i have been shopping for 3 consecutive days! omg i cant resist the sales! but now i really do feel guilty spending so much!

I must really stop shopping when i get back to Toronto!!!! and i should really start looking for a new job!!!!!

and...... i got myself a new hair cut!!!!!!! new hair style!!!! haha its kinda like the jellyfish hairstyle like rainie yang! haha but not that extreme! shall post pics up soon! i really like it! i can do so many style with this hairstyle and i look so much younger!!! haha so happie!

how was everyone's xmas? i hope it was a great one for everyone! :)

sorry i didn't update so long cause i was so busy everyday!

I am really happy to be able to finally see my brother after so many months! i really miss him alot! Though my brother didnt express his emotions i could tell that my brother was feeling happy seeing me too! ^_^ The next day, we decided to go catch movie and.... in the end, we watched 3 movies!!! yes man, the day the Earth stood still and role models!

The best thing is we didnt have to pay for the last 2 movies lol somehow we could go around watching movies cause no one was checking our tickets! haha we spent almost 9 hours at the cinema!

My xmas was a great one! I finally had my first white xmas!!!!!! I had dinner at home with my relatives.. although a simple one but i felt really happy!!! and finally present time came!!! We all felt really excited opening our presents and i got an ipod dock from my brother! so happy! and i got a pair of really nice purple leggings from american apparel from my cousins! :)

I was really glad everyone like the presents i gave them! :) but i just felt kinda sad somehow as its the first time my parents werent here to celebrate xmas with me and my brother :(

lets hope they can celebrate xmas with us next year! :)

On xmas day, My whole family including my relatives and cousins , We all went to my aunt's restaurant for a family lunch gathering! 27 people altogether! we had so much fun ! eating talking and just taking photos! :) how i wish my parents were here! then the gathering would really be complete!!!! :)

Some people are just so fortunate... so lucky.....

and it really makes me think...

Why can't i be as lucky as those people...

why do they get to have those chances ?

while why some people just don't get those chances no matter how hard they try.. no matter how much they spend...

I have no answer to all those questions...

The fact that i have no answer to those questions made me less daring to dream my dreams or rather made me less discouraged to go reach and try hard for my dreams.....

In fact, i think i never really tried reaching for my dream

My dream.. is to be a singer....

In my heart... I really want to....

but in reality i know its just so hard to become one... or should i say impossible....

The chances of me becoming a singer is so slim

Some times i really wanna give up that dream of mine cause i just feel sad whenever i have to face reality...

I tried... i just cant.... what can i really do?

I never really understand why some people without trying hard gets to fulfill their dream...

while some people no matter how hard they try they just never get a chance to fulfill the dream..

its unfair...

Thinking of this... It makes me not wanna reach for my dreams as somehow i know no matter how hard i try it never comes true....

omg he was so fabulous! His concert was amazing!!!!

haha i sang along with him throughout the whole concert!

But was kinda sad that I was sitting rather far from the stage :(

My friend who bought cheaper tickets got better seats than mi! :( ( he was sitting at the side while i am sitting directly facing the stage)

But still i enjoyed my time throughout the whole concert! :)

Haha hooray!!! my mid terms are almost almost over... I still have like 10 days before my last final test!!! and there is 11 more days to jay's concert!!! soooooo excited!!! I hope its gonna be good!!!!

After my second last test, i went straight to sing k again! omg i think i am like addicted to singing karaoke!!!

Finally i can relax! The past few days has been rather stressful for me and was rather upset when i had problems contacting darling... so haven't been able to sleep well...

But now everything is solved and over!!! :)

And i am jobless!!!!

haha i quitted my job at GAP just few days ago as i was having some problems with the manager and my working schedule.

so now i am back to job hunting again! hope i can find a way better job!!!!

Winter has really came, the past few days had been soooo cold.. almost like -5 degrees... almost freezed to death and finally it started snowing!!!!

so beautiful!!!! I feel really happy to able to spend my first white xmas here!!!!

There is lots of stuff i can do... ice skating, skiing, creating snowman.... so fun! i can't wait to go Montreal where i can spend my xmas with my relatives!

At the same time, I'm kinda sad that i can't spend xmas in spore... especially with dear... I hope he can understand and i hope he will have a wonderful xmas!

I hope my friends in spore will have a wonderful xmas too!!!

Having received great results for our midterms, my friends and I decided to celebrate during the weekend! lol haha we went to a party held by asians and we had so much fun as we met many of our friends during the party! and one thing for sure is that we all looked great! lol

of course part of the celebration includes karaoke and shopping! lol haha i have sang karaoke so many times in a row in my life man...On saturday after shopping My friends and I went to karaoke... we laughed so hard as the guys were so funny when they were singing the song .. they totally 'remix' the whole song haha

After that we went for steamboat! so nice to have such warm food in such a cold weather! haha straight after that Me and another group of friends went for karaoke again! wow singing karaoke twice in a day! haha love it! :)

I decided to celebrate my bday on the 1st cause most of my friends still have test on Mon so yeah we ended up meeting for dinner on the eve of my bday!( we were too exhausted from going out during the past 2 days!) and my friends bought me these!!! omg i love them!!!! They are exactly what i wanted! so sweet! so happie! :D

haha after dinner, me and my friends went for karaoke! yeah!! haha we had so much fun~ we sang we ate we laughed! haven had so much fun singing ever since i came here! thanks babes!

I still remember before leaving for canada.. i was wondering how was i gonna spend my 19th bday in canada.. will it be a lonely one.. in this whole new environment .. surrounded by a whole new bunch of people.. without my dear friends in spore ( which i miss dearly) and without my family without my dear around me.. will it be enjoyable?

Well it turns out to be a really great bday! but.. i really belief it would be even better if my dear, family and my friends in spore could celebrate my bday with me too :) miss ya guys!

halloween!

Finally!!! i'm done with my mid terms! and i manage to get reasonable marks wahaha so i felt that all my hard work has paid work! happy! haha so after my mid terms i was just having fun all the way till today! wahah so nice!! :)

The day after our tests, me and my friends went shopping!!!! haha we couldn't control! we just had to relief our stress by shopping lol! but i shall try practicing self control!

After shopping, my friends and i went to a halloween party! haha i didnt dress up as anything cause it was too last min but yeah we still had so much fun! :D

i know i grow fatter le! but don laugh at mi! haha not my fault lor!its so cold here ! must eat more to keep myself warm haha! don worry i shall slim down before i go back spore haha lol

On the actual day of halloween, we went to wonderland theme park in toronto for Fearfest!( this one is so much more bigger and more fun than the previous theme park i went!) In the theme park, its decorated for like halloween .. super scary and scary and there is like 'ghosts' and 'monsters' walking around the park to scare ppl! yeah and i got scare by a couple and we went into haunted houses! haha super scary ! i screamed so much! we also manage to go onto a couple of rides! haha yeah it was scary! but fun! i'm gonna go back next year! lol!

omg... this week has been a rather stressful week... Having 2 of my worst subject tests on the same day is so depressing.... and the 2 of them is french and econs...

I have to juggle between this two subjects during the past two days.... and i have been studying so much such that i felt as if i am back to my JC days in which i really hate it... :(

I thought University life is supposed to be enjoyable but it turns out it isn't enjoyable at all... its actually getting worst than JC life.. People here study sooooo much.. they study till 3 am everyday!!! can you belief it.. i'm gonna die if i do that everyday man :(

The people study so much so that they are giving so much stress! It feels like you're gonna lose out if you just relax... :( oh god... y cant everyone just relax!!!

and i actually plan to come to canada cause i felt that spore is way to stressful for me but looking at the situation i am in now it may seems that my thinking was wrong.

I just came back from my econs test.. feeling super depressed cause i lost 10 marks!! its over a 100.... i know you guys will say its ok what.. ya its ok provided i can get the rest of the 90% correct but in actual fact i cant guarantee that i can get all of them correct :( and plus the fact that i am a first year student taking second year econs... how to compete with the second years? :(

I had my french oral test.. omg i studied so hard so much so that i almost was speaking french in my dreams! but unfortunately i couldn't understand what the french prof was saying during dictation!!!

omg today is just so depressing.. my first two test for university turns out to be so bad :(

how am i gonna survive ?

wahaha sorry for complaining so much but i felt so much better after doing so haha

well, one good thing for the week is that i got into a commerce marketing association committee ! was so happy cause they chose only 5 ppl out of 15 ppl interviewed . oh well i'm glad i joined a useful club for my first year :)

I went for my first part time shift last thursday at GAP hmm it was rather boring cause we had to pack the stocks so nothing special.... but ever since then nobody called me back for work! omg did i do something wrong? haha well i was thinking maybe its due to the fact that the canada economy is bad so GAP need to cut labour costs! wahaha.. but i guess i will go pester the manger for more shifts after my test period :)

omg i really cant wait for my test period to be over!!! which is gonna be next week .... Halloween !!! yeah its gonna be my first time celebrating Halloween so i hope its gonna be so much fun!!! and next week i'm gonna turn 19!!! legal age! (here :P) haha cant wait!!!! I didnt manage my celebrate my 18th birthday so i really hope this birthday will be a good one :D

GAP! yes Gap haha I'm gonna work part time at Gap

yeah i know you guys will think .. you have the time to work?

yeah i do.... you guys should see my timetable.. basically i mostly have lessons on mon and wed only, the rest of the week i am pretty free! :D

and my pay as normal is CDN$8.75 per hour but there will be tax deduction :( but still after tax deduction the basic pay here is still higher than the pay in S'pore.

Besides that, I get to enjoy 50 % off all their items! 50%! thats a lot... but i am only limited to buying 6 merchandise from the store.

omg i think i will start spending alot on Gap haha oh well its cheap anyways so nvm haha

My first day of work was on last thurs from 1pm to 5pm oh well not exactly work we had to go attend training and the best part is that we get paid for going to the training wahaha!

The training was rather boring i must say almost fell asleep.

but at around 4 , all of a sudden there was a fire alarm! so everyone had to evacuate the building.

soon, we found out that it wasn't exactly fire its just some machine in the building overworked thus causing smoke

so in in the end during that last 1 hour we were slacking around doing nothing haha!

On my second day of work which was friday from 5.30 pm to 9.30pm, it was more interesting as it was more of a hands on training..

I actually felt that i learnt alot .. learn about how a big retail company like Gap works and what are their ways in providing good customer service

The most interesting part is the exchange policy in which the customer is able to return the merchandise to the store within 90 days! 90 days! mind you s'pore only one week lor! and the shocking part is that in the past GAP exchange and refund policy has no deadline.. which means you can return the merchandise to the store at any time you are not satisfy with it.. even after 2 yrs!

but of course must have valid reason la! haha but now they don't do it anymore

haha And the best part is the price adjustment... for e.g if you buy this shirt today and tm the shirt goes on sale you can actually bring the shirt back and get the price difference back!

Thats so good!!!!

actually during my first 2 days in Gap i think the people there are rather friendly so i really hope i will enjoy my time working there!

Oh and i finally bought tix to Jay Chou concert in Toronto on Dec 18!!!!! I am so happie!!! i can finally go watch his concert!!!! :D

haha that phrase is meant for Abercrombie! haha i went for their group job interview yesterday at Abercrombie and i was told that we will be informed whether we will be hired by end of today so.....

its official i'm not hired :( well perharps i wasn't good looking or outgoing enough for them ( apparently thats what they are looking for)

well i really wanna work there though cause firstly, it has a rather nice environment and secondly which is the most important one wahaha is that employees get 50% on all their merchandise~!!! 50%!! is alot for abercrombie judging on how one T-shirt cost around CDN 50 and a jacket cost like CDN 200

haha whatever!!! i'll just go try other stores then :) i actually applied to many though... guess gap... French connection... puma... sephora(cosmetics store)... Le chateau... Jacob

lets just hope I'll get in at least one !!! gonna go for gap interview on next tues! wish me good luck!! :D oh and you know what the basic pay here is CDN $8.75 per hour!!! which is around S$11.60! now u see why i am desperately looking for part time! haha

This week has been a rather boring week until thurs in which i went to party with friends! we had so much fun and we even had a cup noodle party after the party! haha it was so good!!!

As i haven't been studying much for the past few days and have been shopping too much for the past few weeks, i felt super guilty so i decided to stay home to study for the whole weekend! haha what a good girl yeah!

I am so looking forward to next weekend in which is gonna be a long weekend for us here all thanks to thanksgiving and me and my friends are planning to go karaoke ice skating shopping and party! well looks like uni life is not that boring after all!

i just wanna say i miss you guys and hope you guys are having fun too! to those having a levels and o levels i wanna say jia you! jia you! jia you! and to those in uni and working hang on there! and to my baby cheer up!!(P.S pig!... i guess you know what i mean! haha)

Hey angels! so sorry for not updating for such a long time!

but no worries everything is okie!!!

well these few weeks of school, i have been busy with finding second hand books online... finding my way to classes.... joining clubs... hanging out with frens... doing assignments... and of course some shopping!haha

well.... my readings have been pilling up ever since day one... but i feel bad cause i havent been doing any reading at all... all i did was like math and french..

I did so many french assignments until i almost went crazy.. lets hope the assignments will do good to my french! :P

This picture is taken during our gown-tearing ceremony!

We had a gown tearing ceremony earlier this week... We wore our gowns ( i got it for CDN$105! super ex!) to dinner and they will tear the sleeves of your gown.. sort of like officially admitting you into the college... a tradition they do every year... I shall upload clearer pics of me wearing that gown soon! haha but i look super short in that gown!

(covocation hall...the place where i have my management lectures.. super big and its nice!)

Besides buying books, another thing we have to do when classes start is to join clubs!

As i have always wanted to join an accapella group, i went for their audition on monday even though i know the chances of getting in are slim( you know how westerners have such strong vocal power). Well, i didn't take good care of my throat so end up i went to the audition singing breakaway by Kelly Clarkson with a shaky voice. I know i should have changed the song since my voice wasn't in tip top condition but i couldn't find any nicer ones so i just went along with it. In the end, as i expected, i didn't get in. My chances were really really slim... out of 80 + people they auditioned.. they only chose 8 girls. :( I was super sad that day! Lao shi!!! wo dui bu qi ni!!! :( I promise i will practise harder!

Another unlucky thing is when i wanted to look for an alternative to accapella... which is jazz choir.. i found out that the auditions for jazz choir were over already :( to bad i guess i have gotta try again next year

well guess what? in the end i decided to join taekwando! haha I know its unbelievable... mi? learning taekwando.. i think it will be even more unbelievable if i got a black belt...

haha but i am definitely gonna try getting black belt !

of course besides going for lessons.. going for clubs.... i went out of uni to get good food in downtown! haha look at the delicious spicy volcano roll above! They are so delicious... I ate them at a korean restaurant

oh and by the way the two sushi rolls are the same but they are taken on different days!

haha which means i went to that same restaurant for 2 consecutive days

oh but to be specific i went there 3 consecutive days

i brought my mum there on the 3rd

the kimchi soup there is good :D

I am so looking forward to going out for meals ! I can't stand my school food :P

I was really really for the past whole week... which was my frosh week

I practically had to wake up at 7.30 in the morning and got back home around 1 am

I was so so tired for the week.... well... you might be thinking... wa i go 'play' for so my orientaion sure will b fun....

actually its not fun :(.. rather boring i must say....

but i met a couple of really nice friends and yes.. all asians haha

well actually i am really surprised i met alot of korean friends, even my roomie, jenny is korean!

hmm mayb i should learn korean haha!

and of course lots of ppl from china too

the thing that surprised me the most is i met my first 3 months jc classmate, yan yin

what a small world! was super happie!!!!

sunday, August 31

My move in day! I must say it was a rather exciting day for mi !

not that I wanna stay alone but i was really excited to see how my whole room looked like... like is it small? is it clean....

and yup, i was pretty excited to see my room mate...

well.... turns out that... my room is really big! ( i mean for a room in residence)

Besides the fact its a big room... I have a wall and a door separated from my roommie....

so practically its a like a single room!

I was really happy to get such a big room! and as I was the first to arrive I got to choose the inner room( which is slightly bigger.. haha)

anyway, in the end i didn't manage to see my roomie cause she wasn't here yet when i left

I was really happie too... cause i didn't have to sleep res yet that day! like that i can spend more time with my mum!haha

my mum's friend was really kind to send me to school the next morning... Thank you so much!

( my room! but its a bit messy haha)

september 1

A really depressing day for me... the day that finally i have to sleep all alone in my res :(

well.... i hate like having to know people all over again.. not that i don't like making friends but i hate the process... like we have to ask qns like.." where are you from?... what course are you in?"

but still i went thru it eventually....

well i was glad to meet a couple of nice friends the moment when we start...

but the lunch was so not nice :(

for the rest of the day ... we went to tour around my college, Trinity college( my uni consists of 6 diff colleges) and later in the evening we went to the dining hall to have our dinner

The dining hall is really nice! its almost similar to the dining hall in the harry potter movie! really! haha its so classical... anyway all the buildngs in my college are really beautiful and classic..

After dinner... i went over to my friend's room and i felt really lucky cause compared to mine... theirs are really quite small and stuffy ( no fan at all whereas mine has! haha)

After which.. went to this caribbean party in school... it was super boring... and the place does not even look 'caribbean' at all!

so mi and my friends left early!

september 2

As usual all we do is eat and mingle eat and mingle... no activities at all! :(

in the evening.. we had a provost's reception and dinner and everyone in my college were required to dress in semi-formal attire to meet the heads of the college for dinner...

the cool thing was in our dining hall... every single one is seated nicely and is served by waiters haha

it was really nice to be able to receive such services during dinner in the beautiful dining hall... you can imagine the ambience right? haha

oh and the unique thing or should i say funny thing is.. only for my school... students have to wear gown( the one like what harry potter wear over his uniform) together with semi formal attire for dinner every wed or formal dresses! haha

its really cool! we look totally like lawyers haha

I know its kinda troublesome but I like the tradition :)

After that.... everyone went on a boat cruise around downtown toronoto :)

it was really nice!! enjoying the scenary and company

but after awhile we got bored haha cause the cruise was like going in circles haha and we had to take the cruise from 7.30 pm to 12.00 am! so long right!

september 3

as usual its rather boring... not exciting at all!

after lunch, they took us for a bus tour around our uni( cause our uni is really big and its spread out all around downtown)

after dinner.. we had a matriculation ceremony..for that ceremony we had to dress in semi formal attire too

its a ceremony which takes place in the hall and where all the students go up to the stage to sign in the college's book.. sort of like admitting you officially into the college

it was kinda cool haha... but as usual only my college has such traditions haha

september 4

well we had some free time today so mi and my friends ( 3 of us) went to eaton centre for shopping!!!!! haha( eaton centre its like one of the biggest shoppin centre in downtown)

omg mi and my friends were like crazy we shopped so much and even bought the same bag( diff colours) together haha! we shopped

In the middle, i met up with my mum there! I was so happie! i missed her so much!

The moment i saw her i hugged her!

For the whole time, i was like holding her hands! :D

anyway i had a great time with my mum and friends!

after that , that was a toga party later at night

It was so fun cause every single one of us wore a toga!( using our bedsheets) haha

It was one of the best parties i had with my friends!

september 6 and 7

well i spend my weekend at my mum friend's house! yeah!! was really happy to b able to spend time with mum!

I felt really comfortable being able to stay at a proper house not residence!

well haha i went shopping again on sunday!!!

ok! i should really stop shopping!!!!!!

but it was too tempting for mi not to buy!

I went to this mall in which all the factory outlet stalls are located! e.g hugo.. boss..bcbg...bebe... nike...guess.... and many more!

mi and mum spend a long time in AX and bought lots of nice and cheap stuff !

felt really guilty after!! haha ok i am not gonna go shopping for 2 weeks! haha!

yup so thats about it for my whole week! really busy week!

Saint Anne

well... yesterday i had a rather relaxing day...

Me, my mum, aunt and cousins went to Saint Anne street to have lunch...

And at the same time, we went to visit my mum's school, John Abbot College...

The college here is really nice and classic... furthermore the school is right next to a lake so its really relaxing studying...

sometimes teachers would bring the class out near to the lake to have lessons! so nice !!!

how i wish my college has such a nice environment :(

We had lunch at one of the restaurant in St Anne Street..

All the restaurants along the street are located next to the lake so we managed to enjoy our lunch at the lake side with beautiful scenary :)

La Ronde!

La Ronde! ( its just only part of it.. its too big for me to take the whole place)

omg i am so tired now!

yesterday I had a super great day...

I went to La Ronde theme park with my cousins and one of my cousin's bf

all 9 of us went there !

Compared to Escape and Genting, La Ronde is so much bigger and funner ( haha i know don't have such a word.. but it feels good to use this word haha)

The rides are really crazy but fun!

The admission ticket costed 40 bucks! yeah its quite expensive! but i think its worth it :D

But one thing i wanna complain about is the price of their food and drinks.

One mineral water cost about 3 bucks! One slice of pizza is like 5 bucks!

omg so expensive! but no choice... we still have to get them when we are hungry and thirsty.

The Galiath! This is the first ride we took and it was the scariest! Really!

Look at the number of loopes we went through..( yes! its all the way to the back!)

There were like so many falls! The intial drop( shown in the first of the galiath) measures about 52 metres!

Anyway , we regretted not taking it again cause its the best ride of all!

The Cobra! The last ride we took! haha it was fun too! but definitely the Galiath was the best!

this rides goes forward and backward! and we have to be in standing position. It was rather uncomfortable!

The ride was a bit too rocky so much so we kept banging our heads against the protection! :(

but still i find the ride quite intersting :)

I went to watch Tropic Thunder on tuesday! It was so nice and funny! I totally enjoyed the show.. and there is like so many popular actors acting in the movie.. There is like Ben Stiller, Tom cruise and Robert Dowery Jr.

haha i can't believe Tom cruise would act in such a movie and even act as a crazy guy!

anyway every tuesday here.... all movie tickets are on half price! so its like 5 per ticket! so cheap

right haha

we went in to a really big cinema theatre....

my cousin told me that that theatre is like one of the smallest compared to the others?

I am like what?!

their smallest is like the biggest one in spore!

haha finally! Today we went out and got a Wii! haha

I think the Wii here is cheaper.. selling at around 360 CND

We bought the mario kart game( which comes with a wheel) and smash bros game!

haha so fun!

well actually, we bought everything including an extra controller from walmart ( cause its slightly cheaper) but then in the afternoon, we went downtown to another shop and we discovered that there is 10% off for games and controller.

So we quickly bought the controller and the games from that shop...

What are gonna do with the controller which we have bought previously?

oh well we are gonna request for a refund! haha we save like 5 bucks! better than nothing!

In canada... You can refund or exchange anything without any valid reasons for a really long period...

Some people are quite mean... they took advantage of this system.. for example... A girl will buy this expensive dress for her prom... after wearing for the night.. she would bring it back to the shop and demand for a refund... so cheap skate la.. its as good as renting that gown for free!

she is like totally like playing her part as a responsible consumer....

oh well there are advs and disadv for this system i will say

oh btw i bought a vest from H&M for 33 bucks! so happie! :D

I know its been a rather hard period for you... I know

We have been together for 4 yrs and all of a sudden we are being separated physically....

I know how u feel.. i feel the same too.... lost... is the feeling

The feeling of not being able to have you physically by my side is unbearable... knowing that no matter how much i wanna see you... i just cant see you....

We have been dependent on each other for 4 yrs and now we are being forced to learn to be independent....

I just really wanna say I am sorry.... I never expect the separation will be so hard for the both of us... its really harder and tougher than what we really have expected....

In the past, we never took our calls that importantly cause we knew somehow no matter what we can still reach each other easily...

but now... we cherish every single phone call we have together cause we know if we miss one... we never know when the other party is gonna call back....

I feel guilty that you have to always stay awake late at night waiting for my phone call.... I am really sorry...

knowing that sometimes when you are face with problems , I am not there with you.. I just feel useless....

Although I cant be by your side physically.... I hope you will still share your problems with me.. pls don keep it to yourself... you will just make me feel even more terrible

The beautiful scenery of the lake

haha yeah! I bought a dress and trackpants for 17 bucks today! so happie!

The dress is like 5 bucks ( not including tax )

Apparently, the tax in canada is like 12.5 % ( so high right! ) so stuff here, if its not on sale, are not really cheap.

But i am still happy i went shopping today! :D oh well I haven blog for days....should really update a bit...

oh and I wanna tell Mr jerry.... good luck for your presentation tm :)

I woke up really early to catch my cousin's soccer game. haha he's only 12 but he's really good at it :). haha and I managed to catch really nice scenery there! haha I just love everything here

Woke up early again to accompany my bro to take an english test

After that went to visit my aunt and at the same time, we went to take a look at my bro's new room haha

oh well his room is kinda old and strangely, the concepts of the apartment are really weird.

The whole apartment is like a maze haha

But all thanks to my cousins and aunt, the apartment in which my bro is staying looks cleaner and nicer after cleaning haha

And the best thing is my uncle opened a restaurant downstairs... so lucky him, he gets to enjoy really delicious food everyday!

For dinner, My mum, bro, cousin and I went to eat with my grandma.

I was really happie to see her but at the same time, whenever i see her my heart will ache.

She looks really tired and weak whenever i visit her

I just hope she will get well soon :)

haha I managed to change the nokia phone to LG shine phone haha! yeah

My brother couldn't get the iphone so instead he bought the LG shine and exchanged phones with me haha

You must be thinking why he so nice right?

Caused we made a deal and I have to get him an ipod touch ( well not really, I'm just paying half )

haha its not really what i want, but I am still happy with this phone compared to having the nokia one!

I am so sick of nokia! oh well, the motorola one is too expensive so I had to give it a miss :(

yeah I know LG shine is considered quite old already but you know what, handphone choices are so limited in canada!

Its like their new models are considered old in singapore already. LG is considered new here!

oh well ,the iphone seems kinda cheap ( US199) but the truth is.. its not!

You have gotta sign on a plan for 3 years that cost 60 bucks a month in order to get it at US199!

so my bro had no choice but to give it up unwillingly( he's kinda being forced )

Montreal and after 5 hours of train ride, finally... I've reached my hometown.

Met up with my relatives and had a delicious chinese food dinner at my uncle's restaurant!

Went over to my aunt's place after dinner and went online to check about my uni 's residence...

and... the bad news is... i've been assigned a double room... sign :(

oh man, now i cant have a room all by myself, gotta share with someone else :(

Now that I have finished replying to all of my butterflies i shall briefly talk about what has happened during the past 2 days ,

5th August 2008 ( s'pore time)

It was the hardest day for me. I woke up really early like 5 to prepare and go to the airport.

Everything was happening in a flash... one minute I was lying on the bed and the next minute before you know it, i'm at the airport already.

At first, when I was about to leave, I was smiling happily saying byes to my friends but when i thought of how much 'mi gonna miss my friends, i just burst into tears suddenly. I kept on crying until I was on the plane:(

anyway, I wanna thank Peggy, YJ, Lena, natzie, dawney, apple and lastly jerry.

To jerry... I know this period is gonna be a hard time for us since its the first time we are apart during the 4 yrs together. But I just wanna say Jia you! we can pull thru this period together and don't forget.. our hearts are still together :)

6th august 2008( canada time )

My very first day in canada after 4 years. woke up at 10am n went out at 11 am ( thank god, I don't have jet lag man)

Went to get a nokia phone ( which i totally regret buying it, should have bought the motorola one) :(

then went straight to my uni to get my ID card and and i went for a short tour around the school. I really like my school! The buildings are very classic and beautiful( I shall take some pics of them and show you soon :)) haha especially the dining hall, it looks almost like the one in Harry potter haha

At night, my family and connie( my cousin) went for a jap buffet! Its quite cheap haha and they have a beef Sashimi which taste so nice haha( I don't know even know it exists)

oh well, thats about it :) I shall keep you guys updated again soon :) Take care

Aiya, I think I'm the last already... cos I just saw the pm from Shyrlyn and immediately I'm here to post something. Anyway, i gotta rush out so it'll be a short one...

You know what? I haven been updating my blog since very very long ago and yet I'm blogging here haa... my blog is crying.... *lame*

Well, Tiff really left... and thanks to Shyrlyn, she created this thingy to make sure Tiff remember us... and update her "news" here!

The last thing I said to Tiff is that if she come back to Singapore, just let me know and I'll cancel all my schedule just to meet her, let's party k? Then she say she's touch *wahahaa*

And then she say she will not go MIA, she will chat with us thru msn, I think i said to her before that when she's there dun go MIA *keke*

Oh ya you not feeling well... rest well and drink more water ah... Listen to more music *music therapy!!! *lame twice*

Ok lah... hope you like our posts, I gotta go... catching a movie "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" :)

I’m feeling excited for you! A new place, a new life ahead to look forward to! When you think you’re about to sing “Lonely, I am Mr Lonely…..” over there when studying, think about me and yikang going through the same thing: new to university, adapting to boring lectures again, making new friends, etc. We all doing the same things, just at different places!

Remember what I told you ah. MUST listen, update yourself with Chinese songs. Cos when u come back we going to test you. When you come back, the Romeo Juliet song will be how outdated liao, Jay Chou probably will be singing a new song with Jolin, we will learn in Singapore and Canada respectively and come back sing again!

So, you know right, every Friday 7pm to 830pm, you can only do the following:
- do lip trail
- ahh vowel
- choose a song
- practice that song
- watch the video

hahaha, ok I am so FOS and FOC. (full of shit and full of crap)
